CUTE. CUTE. Cute. I can’t wait to finish it but I keep getting interrupted. This little lady is a gift but I’m thinking of creating them to look more like one’s own pup, like our Miniature Schnauzers.
We’ve had a lot of sadness in in our home lately with the passing of our Schnauzer Lady this past Monday. She’s been with us for 15 years. Our Belle, a mini Schnauzer also, is very ill too. It’s been a challenge. But with this idea I think when I find all the tones of gray I’ll create a stuffed Lady and place her collar around the neck of the stuffed pup.
I used a charm pack and cut 14 of the pieces into 2 ½” squares. Then I placed them in a formation that looked like a dog (front and back). I created a matching strip using 1 fat quarter. I cut 4 strips and pieced them as you would binding. (I’m thinking next time to cut on the bias as it would be easier to sew as you have to maneuver all the corners.) Using the coordinating polka-dot fabric I’ll make a triangle scarf to tie around the pups neck. Check out the eye – big button, little button, one for each side.
This is just too cute.

Just too cute. PS – WordPress is NOT cooperating today!
Hi Mary, Very cute post, project and pup!
I couldn’t find an email address for you on your blog and your comment on mine was as a no reply blogger. Wanted to let you know when a wordpress blogger account leaves a comment on a google blogger account the default is a no reply blogger as your email settings in your account do not carry it over between software applications. Thus, it is best for non-blogger accounts, like wordpress or typepad to leave their email address embedded in their comment if they want to be contacted (e.g. should they win in a giveaway).
